Rendl RODGE R13510 is a grey outdoor ceiling light with a square footprint and a circular light opening. Straight housing faces and exposed corner screws give it a geometric appearance suited to modern and modernist architecture. This is the grey version, distinct from the anthracite grey and white finishes offered in the same family.

Allow for the surface-mounted housing

The body measures 8.7 cm wide, 8.7 cm long and 9.4 cm high. Compare these dimensions with the intended ceiling position before ordering. RODGE sits below the ceiling rather than being recessed into it. Its compact square footprint also matters when planning several individual lighting points along a canopy instead of one large light with a broad shade.

Possible locations include a covered terrace, balcony, gazebo ceiling or an entrance canopy. Its IP54 rating provides protection against dust in quantities that interfere with operation and against splashing water. It does not make the fitting suitable for immersion.

Choose the GU10 lamp separately

The fitting has one GU10 socket and is supplied without a light source. The maximum permitted lamp power is 35 W. Choosing a replaceable GU10 LED lamp lets you select the colour temperature, light output and beam angle at the light-source stage. The housing itself therefore does not promise a particular brightness or beam width.

The manufacturer specifies dimming with a suitable light source. If you want adjustable brightness, select a dimmable lamp and compatible control equipment. A GU10 socket alone does not mean that any lamp will work with every dimmer.

Connection and future access

RODGE operates on 230 V. The installation instructions require a qualified installer and isolation of the circuit before work begins. Handle the cover carefully, as the manufacturer warns that it can be damaged. When choosing the mounting position, also allow access to the fitting for future lamp replacement.
