s.luce Orb Brown Glass Ball Table Lamp 40 cm E27

The brown s.luce Orb is a glass globe table lamp with a diameter of 40 cm, supported by a low black metal ring. Rather than combining a tall stem with a separate shade, it places the glass sphere close to the surface beneath it. The lampholder sits inside the globe, with the bulb visible through the tinted glass.

Allow space for the whole globe

This version measures 40 cm in height, width and length. When checking a sideboard or side table, compare the available surface with the full width of the sphere, not just its small supporting ring. The compact base does not reduce the space occupied by the glass above it.

Orb is intended for indoor use and can provide supplementary lighting in a living room, bedroom or dining room. Check a bedside table carefully before choosing this size: the glass should not project beyond its edge. The cable runs from the holder out of the globe, so the route to the socket also needs to be considered when positioning it.

Choose the E27 bulb separately

The lamp accepts one replaceable E27 bulb rated up to 40 W. No bulb is supplied, leaving the light colour and brightness dependent on the source you choose. Because the bulb is visible within the brown sphere, its appearance contributes to the overall design as well.

The package contains the Orb glass globe, the s.luce Modular table-lamp base and a lampholder with switch and plug. The manufacturer permits dimming with a suitable light source; this does not establish that a dimmer is built into the lamp.

A sphere rather than an elaborate frame

The smooth glass outline and restrained metal support suit modern and minimalist interiors. This is a brown glass table lamp for an arrangement where the globe itself should remain prominent, without branching arms or a tall central column.
