STARK recessed luminaire DL083-01-GU10-SQ-W IP65 Maytoni Autumn Selection -30%

Maytoni Stark DL083-01-GU10-SQ-W is a white recessed downlight with a square face and a circular light opening. Its aluminium housing leaves a small geometric detail visible on the ceiling. This version takes one replaceable GU10 lamp, which must be purchased separately.

A square face with a round ceiling cut-out

The outer dimensions are 84 × 84 mm, while the required ceiling opening is round and measures 65 mm in diameter. Distinguishing these measurements matters when preparing the ceiling: the visible frame size is not the cut-out size. The installation drawing shows the fitting held in the ceiling panel by its side springs.

The housing itself is 29 mm high, but Maytoni specifies an installation depth of 80 mm with the lamp fitted. The shallow front therefore does not mean that only 29 mm of space is needed above the ceiling. Compare the installation depth with the proposed ceiling void and the position of the wiring before preparing the opening.

Choose the GU10 lamp separately

The current product page and instructions specify one GU10 lamp with a maximum rating of 10 W. No lamp is included. You can select the colour temperature, luminous output and beam distribution of that separate light source to suit the lighting plan; the warm appearance in a product photograph is not a fixed specification of the housing.

A replaceable lamp also lets you change those lighting characteristics without replacing the complete fitting. Maytoni lists the luminaire as non-dimmable, so dimmer compatibility should not be assumed simply because a particular bulb is selected. The specified supply is 220–240 V AC.

A restrained ceiling detail

The IP65 rating supports considering this downlight for a bathroom lighting scheme, with the installation position checked against the applicable electrical requirements. In a hallway, corridor or kitchen, its plain white frame and absence of a decorative shade suit modern and minimalist interiors. The spacing of the fittings and the resulting brightness depend on the selected lamps and room layout, rather than the dimensions of the frame alone.
