SU-MA RONDO II RO-420 black LED bollard light 42 cm 12 W CCT

The SU-MA RONDO II RO-420 is a black LED bollard light measuring 42 cm high. A slender post supports a flat circular head, with a white diffuser beneath its edge. The body is powder-coated aluminium and the diffuser is polycarbonate. Its unadorned outline suits modern and minimalist garden layouts rather than the decorative silhouette of a traditional lantern.

Choose the white light at the fitting

The integrated LED source is rated at 12 W, with a manufacturer-stated luminous flux of 1140 lm. A switch beneath the diffuser selects 3000 K, 4000 K or 6000 K, giving a choice of warm, neutral or cool white. There is no need to buy a different bulb to change between these three settings. The same switch also turns the light off.

When the fitting is switched off and on again, it remembers the last selected colour temperature. That lets you match several bollards along a route or coordinate them with existing outdoor lighting. This is not a fitting for a standard screw-in bulb. The installation manual directs you to the manufacturer or a qualified service technician if the integrated light source needs replacing.

A low bollard with a 20 cm head

Allow for the full 20 cm diameter of the head when planning its position, rather than measuring only the narrow post. The 42 cm height identifies this particular low version of RONDO II; taller members of the same family have different dimensions.

Consider it beside garden paths, terrace edges or driveways, keeping walking and vehicle routes clear. The manufacturer specifies outdoor use around homes and business premises. IP65 provides protection against dust and water jets. The fitting requires a 230 V mains supply.

Prepare a fixed mounting surface

The base is screwed to the mounting surface, not simply placed on the ground. The manual specifies connecting the supply cable to the head cable with the connector included in the kit. For unpaved ground such as a lawn, SU-MA recommends its small or mini foundation. Account for a suitable support before installation, especially where there is no existing hard surface.
