TERCERO LE61326 is a black recessed LED downlight in aluminium, with a small round trim 6.2 cm across and a deep black tube that hides the light source. Behind the trim sits a finned heat sink, and on either side a spring clip that holds the fitting against the ceiling board once it is pushed into the hole.
Dimensions and installation
The fitting is 6.2 cm in diameter and 6.1 cm high — that much space has to be free above the ceiling board for the body and heat sink. Check this before buying, especially with a plasterboard suspended ceiling, where the void above the board can be shallow. The manufacturer does not publish the cut-out diameter, so the safest course is to measure it on the delivered fitting.
How much light, and what kind
The integrated 9 W LED module delivers 542 lm, roughly what an old 40 W bulb gave. One downlight will not light a whole room — fittings like this are installed in rows or a grid, with the number chosen for the floor area. 3000 K is warm white, a calm light for a living room, bedroom or hallway.
The light source is included and built in permanently, so there is no bulb to buy, but it cannot be replaced on its own either. The module sits deep inside the black tube, so looking up at the ceiling from the side you do not see the bright LED point directly.
Where it can be installed
An IP42 rating protects against dripping water and small solid objects, but not against jets of water — the downlight is for indoor rooms, not for a shower area. The black trim stands out clearly on a light ceiling; the TERCERO family also includes white versions that blend in with it.
