TONALA is a pendant built around a horizontal bar 91 cm wide, finished in coffee brown. Two round shades of milky acrylic sit on the bar in different diameters — one larger, one smaller — covered in concentric grooves that show on the surface once the light is on.
How big it is and how to hang it
The bar measures 91 cm and hangs from two thin cables under a ceiling mount of the same length. Maximum drop is 150 cm and is reduced by shortening the cables — above a table the fitting is hung so that the lower edge of the larger shade sits 70–80 cm above the top. The light then covers the whole table surface without shining into the eyes of anyone seated.
The ceiling mount is a narrow rail rather than a round canopy, so it covers the junction box only when the box falls on its axis — worth checking where the outlet sits before mounting.
How much light it gives
The built-in LED module draws 42 W and delivers 2179 lm. An old 60 W incandescent gave around 800 lm, so the fitting replaces close to three of them and is enough as the main light over a table.
3000 K is warm white — light with a slightly yellow cast, warmer than daylight. The acrylic shades are milky and diffuse it softly, with no visible bright point. The module is integrated and cannot be replaced. Brightness can be adjusted, but the dimmer is an external device and is bought separately.
What it is made of
Bar and ceiling mount are aluminium with a matt coffee-brown finish; the shades are acrylic. Aluminium keeps the bar slim across a 91 cm span, and acrylic allows large, thin discs without the weight of glass.
The fitting runs on 230 V and is intended for indoor use. TONALA is also made in other colour finishes of the same form.
