VT-61012 is a square recessed LED panel 170 mm across with a 28 mm recess depth. The whole face lights evenly through a milky PMMA diffuser — not a spotlight with a visible diode but a bright square in the ceiling.

Shallow installation

A depth of 28 mm is very little: the panel goes into a suspended ceiling with minimal service space, and into places where services run just above the board. It weighs 190 g, so it puts no load on the structure. The aluminium frame carries heat away from the diodes, the housing is PS and the diffuser PMMA.

Light, and its limit

12 W gives 1200 lumens — an efficacy of 100 lm/W, solid for this price bracket. At 4000 K the colour is neutral, good for kitchens, corridors and utility rooms. But the limit is worth knowing: the colour rendering index is 80 and the red component R9 is just 1 (as declared in the EPREL registry). In practice reds and skin tones will look washed out — the panel suits circulation areas, a store room or a utility space, but not anywhere colour is judged: not above a bathroom mirror, not over a product display, and not over a dining table.

Before you buy

The panel is not dimmable and should not be paired with a dimmer. The LED source is permanently integrated; when the diodes reach end of life the whole fitting is replaced. The manufacturer declares over 15,000 switching cycles, which matters if it runs from a motion sensor. IP20 places it in dry rooms, and the warranty is 2 years.
