The V-TAC VT-865-MRC is a surface-mounted spotlight built as a slender cylinder of gypsum and concrete, finished with a metal ring in matt rose gold. The grey, slightly textured body reads as bare concrete and sets off the warm copper sheen of the rim around the light opening.
A gypsum body you can paint
Gypsum takes paint just as readily as a wall or ceiling does. You can coat the fitting in exactly the same shade as the surface it sits on so that it disappears into the background, or go the other way and pick it out with textured paint or decoupage. That is unusual for a spotlight fitting, and it is why the same model works in a raw industrial room as well as in a minimalist or Scandinavian one.
Light source and mounting
The fitting takes a single GU10 lamp of up to 35 W. No bulb is supplied, so the colour temperature and output are yours to choose. The holder sits deep inside the tube, so the beam is concentrated and aimed straight down — the right answer where you need defined, directional light rather than general ambient illumination. Mounting is surface: the body fixes directly to the ceiling or wall with no cut-out, which makes it usable on a solid concrete slab and anywhere there is no void above the ceiling.
Operating conditions
An IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor rooms. It runs on standard mains power, 220–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. V-TAC covers the product with a five-year warranty, and it carries CE, EMC and RoHS markings.
