The Zambelis 19156 is the mounting base of the 24 V Plug and Play system: an aluminium disc 15.5 cm across and 7.6 cm deep with a 100 W driver built into it. It does not light on its own — it is the supply and fixing point the system's fittings plug into. A remote control is included.
How many fittings one base runs
The base takes 220–240 V mains and delivers 24 V at up to 100 W. That figure is the budget for the whole installation: the combined wattage of every fitting plugged into one base has to fit inside it. Fittings in this system draw single-figure watts, so 100 W covers several light points from one connection.
The connection is Plug and Play with a jack: the fitting pushes into the base, with no terminal blocks and no wires to join. The fittings themselves — LED tubes, panels, base light covers and suspended spots — are separate articles and are not included.
The remote and dimming
The built-in driver dims by TRIAC, and the manufacturer supplies a remote with the base. It switches the installation on and off and sets the brightness, either smoothly or to fixed levels. Dimming happens on the driver side, so it moves every fitting connected to that base together rather than one at a time.
Mounting and supply
The base mounts on the surface, to a ceiling or to a wall. It needs no cut-out and no void above the ceiling — the 15.5 cm disc covers a standard installation box and stands 7.6 cm proud of the surface.
It is a Class I device, so the box has to carry an earth conductor. The body is aluminium. The manufacturer gives a five-year warranty; the carton measures 20 × 20 × 10 cm and weighs 1 kg gross.
