ACALAN LE43449 is a wall light in the form of a 28 cm metal bar with two cylindrical spotlights, finished in matte black. Each spotlight is 6.1 cm in diameter and 7.2 cm long and sits on a short stem with a joint, so the light can be aimed where you need it.
Size and where to mount it
The mounting bar is 28 cm wide and 2.5 cm thick — a size worth comparing with the space on your wall, for example above a mirror or a cabinet. The manufacturer lists the fitting among wall and bathroom lights, and its IP44 rating means protection against water splashing from any direction, which allows it in a bathroom in zones where IP44 fittings are permitted.
Bulbs and light
The wall light has two GU10 sockets and no bulbs are included — you need to buy two. The manufacturer allows a maximum of 10 W per socket, which rules out typical 35–50 W halogen GU10 bulbs, so in practice LED bulbs are used. You set the colour, brightness and beam width through your choice of bulbs: GU10 is a directional source and the beam angle is stated by the bulb maker. For a bathroom 3000–4000 K is the usual choice.
The fitting runs on 230 V, so the GU10 bulbs connect without a transformer.
Style
A plain bar and smooth, unornamented cylinders in uniform matte black make a modern form.
