Aldex Bloom Multicolour 1111A40 floor lamp, brass, coloured glass shades, 4×G9

Aldex Bloom Multicolour 1111A40 is a floor lamp with four glass globes grouped around the top of a slender upright. Brushed brass is paired with white, pink, amber and smoke-tinted glass. The two globe sizes and their asymmetric arrangement give this version a different presence from a conventional floor lamp with a single shade.

Allow space above the base

The lamp measures 161 cm high, 48 cm wide and 35 cm deep. Two shades are 14 cm in diameter and the other two are 20 cm; the circular base has a diameter of 32 cm. When choosing a position, account for the wider cluster of globes rather than judging the space required from the base alone.

Beside a sofa or sideboard, compare the full outline with the gap between surrounding furniture. The glass extends to both sides of the stem and should stay clear of walkways and opening cupboard doors. Its tall upright places the decorative cluster above low furniture without using a tabletop.

Four G9 fittings, with bulbs included

Bloom has four G9 fittings. The manufacturer specifically states that this version is supplied with bulbs, so it is not a bare fixture that requires an initial set to be purchased separately. For subsequent replacement, use the correct G9 cap and follow the permitted wattage marked on the lamp.

The globes are not all equally opaque. The white shade differs from the more transparent coloured shades, and the official close-up shows the light sources through the tinted glass. The colour of a photograph alone does not establish a precise colour temperature or brightness; do not use it as a substitute for those specifications when planning the room's lighting.

A coloured accent for modern interiors

The metal stem, spherical shades and asymmetric layout suit modern and modernist settings. This floor lamp can complement the main lighting in a living room, bedroom, study or seating area within a dining room. Its coloured glass remains part of the composition when switched off. Match the full palette to surrounding fabrics and furniture rather than treating Multicolour as an entirely brass-coloured fitting.
