ANTIC is a wall light built from two glass tubes set on one axis – one throws light up, the other down. A gold sphere joins them on a round 8 cm backplate; the whole fitting is 43.5 cm tall and stands 12.5 cm off the wall.
Glass that works with the light
The tubes are cast glass with a vertical ribbed relief in a soft cognac tint. That texture breaks the output into vertical bands of reflection, so the lamp looks different lit and unlit – nearly clear when off, warm and deep when on.
Where it works
The up/down arrangement puts two washes on the wall rather than one pool, so ANTIC suits flanking a mirror in a cloakroom, a bedside position, or a pair down a hallway. Note it is rated IP20, for dry rooms only – it does not belong in a shower zone.
Variants
The Antic series runs the same sconce in grey and white glass, plus pendant versions. This manufacturer code – MOD302WL-02CG1 – is the two-light variant with cognac glass and a gold fitting.
