BISCUIT 100 blue LED 3000K pendant lamp

BISCUIT 100 is a pendant lamp shaped as a narrow light-blue bar, 98.5 cm long and 13 cm wide. The lower edge of the housing is cut into even semicircles, so the profile looks like the rim of a biscuit. It hangs on two transparent cables and the ceiling canopy comes in the same light blue as the body.

How big it is and where to hang it

The length of almost one metre is chosen to match the surface the lamp will hang over — the bar lights along its whole length, so it covers a table for four to six people, or a kitchen island of similar length, well. At only 13 cm wide it takes far less space above the worktop than a wide shade would.

Maximum suspension height is 200 cm measured from the ceiling, and the cables can be shortened. Over a table the lower edge is usually set 70–80 cm above the top — the light then reaches the whole surface and the bar does not block the view between people sitting opposite each other.

What light it gives

The source is an LED strip set deep inside the aluminium profile. The diode is not visible from below, so at an angle you see a lit slot rather than a point of light. The module is integrated and supplied with the lamp — no bulbs are bought for it, but it cannot be replaced either.

The manufacturer states 12 W and 1563 lm, roughly twice a former 60 W bulb. At 3000 K the light is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 93 means food, worktop and furniture look almost as they do in daylight — which counts over a dining table and over a work surface.

Supply and control

The lamp runs on 230 V and is built to protection class I, so the installation at the mounting point needs an earth conductor. Its IP20 rating covers dry interiors only.

In the standard version the luminaire runs at one fixed brightness. The manufacturer does offer it with a control system — remote, app, DALI or PUSH DIMM — but that is chosen when ordering rather than added afterwards.

Build

The body is painted aluminium in a single light-blue tone, with the wavy lower edge as its only decorative element. The lamp weighs 1.7 kg, is made in Poland and carries a five-year manufacturer warranty. The BISCUIT range also includes a wall light and a desk lamp, so the fittings can be combined in one room.
