Black G9 floor lamp FUNES Luces Exclusivas LE44294

FUNES Luces Exclusivas LE44294 is a black floor lamp with a slender upright stem and a broad, flat disc above a spherical shade. Concentric relief on the disc gives the upper section a distinctive surface rather than the plain outline of a conventional lampshade. The manufacturer specifies steel and acrylic for the fitting.

Allow space for the top, not just the base

The lamp is 162 cm tall and measures 46 cm in diameter. Its narrow stem should not be mistaken for a narrow overall footprint: the upper section extends well beyond it. Compare the measurements with nearby furniture, the wall and the swing of any door before choosing its position.

As supplementary lighting, this floor-standing design can be considered for a living room, bedroom or dining room. A position beside a seating area or a sideboard is an option where the full width remains clear of circulation space. It leaves a tabletop free, but still needs a dedicated place on the floor.

Choose a G9 bulb separately

There is one G9 lamp holder, and no light source is supplied. The maximum bulb rating is 5 W. Check both the base type and the wattage limit when purchasing a bulb; its colour temperature and light output will determine the light you obtain. The fitting is specified for a 230 V supply.

The gallery shows the spherical shade beneath the wide disc. Consider FUNES as one part of a room's lighting scheme rather than assuming that this single light point will replace all general illumination.

A geometric alternative to a fabric shade

The black stem and circular base contrast with the pale globe and underside of the upper section. This restrained composition suits modern and minimalist interiors. Its broad disc and textured surface are the defining decorative features, so compare their proportions with existing accessories when deciding whether the lamp belongs in your space.
