Bollard Light NORLYS Halmstad 1417GR graphite with impregnated wood LED 8.5 W 3000 K 85 cm

The Halmstad 1417GR is an 85 cm bollard light with a square 12 × 12 cm section, its wooden shaft set between a graphite head and foot. The shaft is impregnated Scandinavian pine, and the head and foot are hot-dip galvanised steel powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. In the head, behind horizontal slats under a flat square roof, sits an opal PMMA diffuser, and inside works a built-in Philips Fortimo LED module with its driver, so there is no bulb to fit.

How much light it gives and where it goes

It draws 8.5 W and shines at 3000 K, a warm white, with CRI 80. The module produces 1059 lm and 292 lm leaves the luminaire. The manufacturer describes the light as open and partly shielded from above: the roof covers only the top, and light leaves sideways between the slats. ULOR is 47 %, so roughly half the flux goes above the horizontal, and the BUG rating is B0-U3-G1 – the bollard lights the plants and the wall next to it as well as the path.

It can be dimmed with either kind of phase dimmer: trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). The LED module (L80B20 over 50,000 h) and the driver are replaced by a qualified service technician; Norlys supplies repair kit ZS1417zx0009 for this.

Height, installation and connection

At 85 cm the head sits a little above a dining-table top (75 cm), so the bollard shows above low planting and clearly marks the line of a path or driveway.

The base is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Fixing parts are bought separately: ground anchor 206GA0010, anchor for setting in concrete 205ZX0010, concrete foundation adapter 206GA0S10 or mounting adapters 3080GA0009 and 3086GA0009. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², including when looping through, and the round cable can be up to 12.5 mm in diameter, so one cable run can feed several bollards along a path. Class II means no protective earth conductor is needed.

Protection and placement

IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the bollard stands outdoors without cover. The operating range is −20 to +45 °C. Norlys intends this model for private grounds and architectural schemes – it suits a garden as well as the grounds of a hotel or restaurant.
