Halmstad 1482BL LED Bollard Light 8.5W 3000K 85 cm Black RAL 9005 - Norlys

Halmstad 1482BL is an 85 cm Norlys bollard with a 12 cm square section, made of hot-dip galvanised steel finished in black (RAL 9005). The upper part holds an opal PMMA diffuser behind horizontal louvres, closed at the top by a flat cap.

What light it gives

The fitting runs on an integrated Philips LED module at 3000 K, a warm white. The complete luminaire delivers 292 lm from 8.5 W — orientation light that marks the edge of a path, driveway or flower bed rather than lighting a whole garden. Light leaves through the louvres on all four sides, and the cap only partly shields it from above. A colour rendering index of CRI 80 is enough to tell plant and paving colours apart.

The bollard is phase-dimmable and works with both leading-edge (LE) and trailing-edge (TE) dimmers, so it can be connected to most phase dimmers. The LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service — Norlys stocks a service kit for this luminaire, so a failed light source does not mean replacing the whole bollard.

Mounting and connection

The base has three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Fixings are sold separately: for this series Norlys offers a concrete anchor (205), a ground anchor (206), a concrete foundation adapter (206S) and mounting adapters 3080GA and 3086. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², and luminaires can be looped through with up to 2 × 2.5 mm², so several bollards along a path can run from one supply circuit. The supply cable can be up to 12.5 mm in diameter.

The luminaire is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor. It weighs 13.17 kg net.

Where it fits

With an IP65 rating the bollard can stand outdoors without cover, in rain and under a water jet, and its IK10 impact rating means the housing withstands strong mechanical impacts — useful where it may get knocked. Norlys designed it for lighting private grounds; the plain, square body with horizontal louvres is a Scandinavian-style form that suits gardens at homes, hotels and restaurants. The Halmstad series also includes graphite and galvanised versions of the same height.
