Bollard Light NORLYS Narvik II 1733AL light grey LED 13.4 W 4000 K 95 cm

Narvik II 1733AL is a 95 cm bollard light in cast aluminium, powder-coated in light grey colour (RAL 9006). The body tapers upwards and ends in a domed cap, beneath which light leaves on four sides through a satin PMMA diffuser. The LED module and driver are built in, so no lamp is needed.

What light it gives

The luminaire draws 13.4 W and delivers 757 lm from a 2058 lm module – the cap and satin diffuser hold back part of the light but keep it from dazzling. 4000 K is a neutral white, and CRI 80 is typical for area lighting. 17.7% of the flux goes upwards (BUG B1-U3-G1). The bollard can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, trailing-edge or leading-edge. The light source is energy class C.

The module keeps 80% of its flux after more than 102,000 h (L80) and 90% after more than 52,600 h (L90). The inrush current of 2 A / 50 µs is the figure to use when working out how many bollards one circuit breaker can carry.

Installation and wiring

The base has six 10 × 15 mm oval holes on a ø172 mm circle, set 60° apart. The bollard weighs 10.43 kg, or 12.55 kg in its 31.5 × 29 × 99 cm carton. The fixings are bought separately: the concrete-in anchor 505XX0009, the concrete-foundation adapter 110GA0309 or the mounting adapters 3088GA0009 and 6011GA0011.

The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², also for loop-through wiring, so several bollards can run from one line. The cable entry accepts round cable of ø8–12 mm or ø10–14 mm, and the terminals are reached through an inspection door in the body. The luminaire is protection class II and needs no protective earth.

Durability and service

IP65 lets the bollard stand unprotected in the rain, and IK10 is the highest impact-resistance class – useful beside a pavement or car park, where it is within reach of feet, bicycles and wheels. It operates from −20 to +45 °C. Only a professional service replaces the LED module and control gear, using the repair kit ZS1733zx0010.

Norlys intends Narvik for private grounds and public spaces: beside a terrace, along a driveway, on paths at hotels and restaurants. To order it is also made in protection class I, with 2700 K, a different flux, with a surge protector (SPD) or in another RAL colour.
