Bollard Light NORLYS Stavanger 2248GR graphite LED 8.9 W 3000 K 28 cm

Stavanger 2248GR is a cylindrical bollard light, 20 cm in diameter and 28 cm tall. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite RAL 7016, and just below the flat top runs a ring of satin PMMA through which the light comes out. The source is a built-in LED module with its driver, so there is no bulb to buy for this fitting.

How much light it gives

The fitting puts out 337 lm at a power draw of 8.9 W. It is orientation light that marks the edge of a path, driveway or flower bed, not a floodlight for the whole garden. 3000 K is warm white, a slightly yellowish, calm light beside the house and on the terrace.

The ring glows all round, and about 39% of the flux (ULOR 38.6%) goes above the fitting — the bollard is visible from a distance, but it also lights the space above it. It dims on a phase-cut dimmer of either type, trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). SDCM3 means several bollards in a row shine in the same shade of white.

After 52,600 h the module still gives at least 90% of its output (L90), after 102,000 h 80% (L80). Module and driver are replaced by a service technician (repair kit ZS2248zx0009).

Mounting and wiring

The fitting is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø145 mm circle. Fixings are not included: Norlys sells a ground anchor (1231GA0009), a concrete-in anchor (1230ZX0009), a concrete foundation adapter (1232GA0010) and a mounting adapter (3087GA0009) separately.

The terminals take up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow looping the supply on with round cable of 8–17 mm, so several bollards along one path run from a single cable.

Durability and build

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the bollard stands outdoors uncovered, at −20 to +45 °C. Impact rating IK08 means it withstands an impact energy of 5 J. Protection class II means reinforced insulation with no earth conductor. The fitting weighs 4.74 kg.

The plain cylinder suits modern, Scandinavian-style gardens. Norlys designed it for gardens, private grounds and other architectural uses — including outside hotels and restaurants. Norlys makes the same body at 4000 K as Stavanger 2249, and the range also includes 50 cm and 95 cm bollards.
