CASSIS 7066-503 is a pendant lamp shaped as a straight horizontal bar carrying four cylindrical LED heads in a row, each with a white opal diffuser. Finished in matt nickel, it hangs on two thin cables from a rectangular ceiling canopy.
How big it is and how low it hangs
The bar is 75 cm long and each of the four heads is 8 cm in diameter. The manufacturer's drawing gives 150 cm as the maximum height of the whole lamp, from the ceiling to the underside of the heads; the canopy is 42 cm long. Compare these two figures with the height of the room and the length of the surface the lamp will hang over.
The height adjusts smoothly with a "soft lift" mechanism: the lamp is raised or lowered with one hand after installation, without climbing a ladder. Over a table the underside of the heads is usually set 70–80 cm above the top.
How much light it gives, and what kind
The integrated LED source draws 24 W and delivers 2500 lm in total — roughly as much as three old 60 W bulbs. At 3000 K the light is warm white, calmer than daylight. The LEDs are part of the lamp and come with it, so there are no bulbs to buy.
Brightness changes in three steps with an ordinary wall switch — successive clicks move between the levels, with no dimmer, remote or extra wire. The manufacturer has also added decorative backlighting in the canopy, which lights up the mounting point on the ceiling.
Where it fits
Four light points set in a line spread the brightness along the bar, which suits the lamp to a dining table, a kitchen island, a living room or a bedroom. The form is modern and minimalist: a plain bar, smooth cylinders and a matt finish with no ornament. The construction combines metal and plastic. The CASSIS range also includes a black chrome version and six-light models.
