This is a component of Nowodvorski's CTLS (Commercial Track Light System) – a live T connector in the right-hand "2" configuration (designation T-R2, article 8703, white). It is not a luminaire or a decorative end piece but an installation part: it joins three lengths of track into a T and carries power and all three circuits across the junction.

Why "right 2"

In the CTLS system the track has a defined polarity – the manufacturer marks it with a red line along the profile and instructs installers to watch the position of the earth contact. That is why T connectors come in four versions: T-L1 and T-L2 (left) and T-R1 and T-R2 (right). Choosing between them is not a matter of appearance but of installation geometry: it has to match which side the branch runs to and how the joined sections are oriented, so that earthing and phase order agree on both sides of the junction. Before ordering, compare the drawing of your own track layout against the system diagram rather than relying on the name alone.

Electrical rating

The junction carries a load of up to 16 A / 3.7 kVA on a ~220–230 V, 50/60 Hz supply. It is protection class I, so an earth conductor must be connected. The current path is copper and the housing plastic in white – the same white as the CTLS track sections, so the connector does not stand out against the ceiling. An IP20 rating restricts the part to dry interiors.

Place in the CTLS system

CTLS is a complete three-circuit system: 1 m and 2 m tracks, a suspension kit, a power supply kit, right and left end caps, straight, L, T, X and flex connectors, plus a dead end cap and a mini straight connector. The same T-R2 connector is available in black under article 8704. A three-circuit track lets fittings be split across three independently switched groups – which is why the system is common in shops, showrooms and galleries, where lighting scenes change along with the display.
