Allowing space beside your sofa
The table measures 50 cm long, 50 cm wide and 45 cm high. These are the dimensions of the whole piece, not a statement of the usable tabletop area alone. When planning its position, account for the projecting base as well as the top, and leave room to walk past.
Compare the 45 cm height with the seat height of your own sofa or armchair. This is the standard-height BORGE version, rather than the lower BORGE LOW range, which is 32 cm high.
A laminated top with a metal base
The top is made from 18 mm laminated furniture board. The metal base is powder-coated, and both parts are black. The top is not solid wood.
The exposed sections of the base are a deliberate part of the design rather than a support concealed entirely beneath the board. This detail distinguishes BORGE from a conventional plain living-room table.
