What it is for

Track is sold in lengths that get cut and joined to suit the run. Every end that does not meet a connector or a feed is left open, showing the profile section and the conductor rails. The end cap closes that opening: it finishes the installation visually and keeps dust out of the profile. It is the part easiest to forget when ordering, because starter sets do not include it – and without it a finished installation looks unfinished.

How many to order

The rule is simple: one cap per free end of track. A straight run fed from one side needs one; a run fed from the middle needs two. In a layout with corners and connectors, caps are needed only where the route stops, because the other ends are closed by the connectors themselves.

This accessory is dimensioned for the three-phase version of the Ideal Lux LINK profile. Track from different manufacturers has different sections, and even within one brand the 1-phase and 3-phase versions are different profiles – a cap from another system will either not fit or not hold.
