Endon Franklin 98752 is a steel table lamp combining a matt black shade with aged pewter details. Its curved support, round base and exposed joint at the head give it the character of an industrial reading lamp rather than a fitting with a fabric shade.
Aim the head over your tabletop
The head can be set to the required angle using its adjustable joint. This changes the direction of the light without turning the entire base, useful when positioning it over a book or a particular part of a desk. It does not establish a specific brightness: that depends on the bulb you buy separately.
The lamp measures 46 cm high, 15 cm wide and 29 cm deep. Allow for the shade projecting in front of the support when choosing a position. The instructions require a stable, flat surface, so compare these dimensions with your bedside cabinet, desk or side table beside an armchair rather than assuming it fits every piece of furniture.
Choose an E14 bulb and use the base switch
Franklin has one E14 socket for an LED bulb rated at no more than 7 W. No bulb is supplied. You therefore choose the light colour and luminous output with the bulb, not through settings on the lamp. The fitting is non-dimmable and is turned on and off using the toggle switch on its base.
The black cable is 1.5 m long. Check the distance to the socket, including the route across the furniture, before placing the lamp. It operates on 220–240 V and is specified as a Class II fitting.
Industrial details and everyday care
The black shade contrasts with the aged, silvery metalwork, making it an option for loft and retro interiors. It can complement a desk, reading position, bedroom or living-room side table; the manufacturer also associates its styling with bars and bistros. This is an indoor lamp, not one for bathroom use. Clean it with a dry cloth only, avoiding liquid or abrasive cleaners. Disconnect the power and let the bulb cool before replacing it.
