Endon Franklin 98751 adjustable E14 wall light, matt black and aged pewter finish

The Endon Franklin 98751 is an adjustable wall light combining a matt black metal shade with aged pewter-finished details. Its steel construction has a round wall plate, a curved arm and a joint beside the head. A toggle switch on the wall plate provides local on/off control rather than leaving every operation to a separate wall switch.

Allow for the arm as well as the shade

The fitting measures 19.7 cm high and 15 cm wide, with a projection of 25 cm from the wall. That projection matters when choosing a position beside furniture or a route through the room: the arm and shade extend beyond the wall plate. The adjustable joint lets you change the head position and orient the shade towards the intended area.

Use it as supplementary wall lighting in a living room, beside a bed or along a dining-room wall. If local switching is important, choose a mounting position that keeps the toggle within reach. The manufacturer specifies indoor use, and the installation instructions explicitly exclude bathroom locations.

Choose the bulb separately

Franklin takes one E14 LED bulb with a maximum wattage of 7 W. No bulb is included. The producer specifies a golf-ball format and recommends filament LED lamps to complement the exposed metal detailing. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the bulb you select; they are not fixed characteristics of the fitting. Dimming requires a suitable dimmable bulb and compatible control. The fitted toggle is an on/off switch, not a brightness control.

Industrial character and installation

The rolled shade edge, visible joint and aged metal finish give this black wall light an industrial, retro character. It can complement loft interiors or provide wall lighting in a hotel or restaurant where those details belong in the design.

This is a hardwired 220–240 V Class I fitting and must be earthed. Installation should be undertaken by a qualified person. The manufacturer calls for cleaning with a dry cloth only, without liquid or abrasive cleaners. Isolate the supply and allow the bulb to cool before replacement.
