Endon Gen Ring LED Pendant Light 42W 3000K Matt Nickel 80572

Gen Ring is an Endon pendant in the form of a flat LED ring, hung on thin steel wires beneath a round ceiling canopy. The ring has a matt nickel finish, and the light comes out through a frosted diffuser on its underside.

Suspension and height adjustment

The ring hangs on three thin wires that almost disappear from a distance — what remains visible is the ring itself and a small canopy at the ceiling. Endon specifies 1.5 m of height-adjustable cable, so the pendant can hang low over a table or be drawn up closer to the ceiling in a room of standard height. Over a table the lower edge is usually set 70–80 cm above the top.

How much light and what kind

The built-in SMD LED module draws 42 W and, according to Endon, delivers 2450 lm — enough for the main lighting of a room rather than just ambient light. A colour temperature of 3000 K is a warm white close to a traditional bulb. The light source is integrated into the fitting, so there are no bulbs to buy.

The pendant can be dimmed, but only with a trailing-edge dimmer — when replacing a switch with a dimmer, check which type the new one is.

Which interiors it suits

Endon describes Gen as a contemporary fitting designed for a minimalist look: a smooth ring with no decoration and an almost invisible suspension. That form suits a living room, bedroom or dining room, where the pendant can hang in the centre of the room or over a table.
