Gea Luce GES1170N white surface-mounted LED step light 6 W 4000 K IP65

Gea Luce GES1170N is a white surface-mounted step light intended for outdoor use. Its rectangular die-cast aluminium body has a broad upper cover and a recessed lower face through which light is distributed. A polycarbonate diffuser works with the integrated LED module, which is included with the fitting.

Neutral white light along steps

The N version produces neutral white light at 4000 K. The manufacturer specifies a luminous flux of 467 lm and an indirect distribution with a 78° beam angle. These figures matter when planning lighting beside stairs, along a passage wall or at steps leading to a terrace. This is a fitting for orientation in a particular part of the space, rather than a substitute for the complete garden lighting scheme.

The LED source uses 6 W, and no separate bulb with a socket needs to be purchased. GES1170N operates by switching on and off and is not dimmable. If the project calls for adjustable brightness, choose a different fitting: adding an external dimmer does not change the operating mode specified for this model.

Wall-surface installation

The assembly instructions show a screw-fixed base with the body attached to it. The light therefore mounts onto the wall surface rather than requiring a recess for its housing. Before ordering, compare its rectangular outline with the intended position beside the stairs and plan the cable entry according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Its supply is 220–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel, with mains voltage disconnected before work. The IP65 rating and the manufacturer's stated outdoor purpose support use on a facade, a masonry boundary wall or a circulation route on a terrace.

Appearance and care

The white finish, straight edges and absence of decorative ornament suit modern and minimalist architecture. For cleaning, the instructions specify a damp cloth with mild detergent, followed by gentle drying with a soft cloth. Cables and electrical components must not be exposed to water or cleaning products.
