Gea Luce GES2002C Brown Recessed LED Step Light 13 W 3000 K IP65

Gea Luce GES2002C is a brown recessed LED wall light for outdoor steps and passageways. Its elongated aluminium face has a horizontal opening, with light visible across the lower surface rather than an exposed bulb. The white diffuser is made from polycarbonate.

Indirect light beside the steps

The integrated 13 W LED module produces warm-white light at 3000 K. Gea Luce specifies a luminous flux of 432 lm and an indirect beam with an angle of 84°. These figures are relevant when planning local illumination along a staircase or the base of a wall. This is a step and route marker rather than a substitute for a complete lighting design. The number of fittings and their spacing should be matched to the actual staircase dimensions.

Operation is on/off only: GES2002C is not dimmable, so it is not the right choice for brightness adjustment with an ordinary dimmer. The LED module and transformer are included. There is no separate bulb to choose for a conventional lampholder.

Plan the recess before finishing the wall

The face measures 250 mm wide and 98 mm high. The installation instructions specify a recess measuring 235 mm wide, 85 mm high and 84 mm deep. A recessed mounting box is supplied, making the wall cavity an important consideration before the surface is finished. The dimensions of the visible face are not the dimensions of the opening; use the installation drawing when preparing the recess.

A brown finish for outdoor architecture

The plain rectangular face and narrow light opening suit modern and minimalist schemes. Possible locations include terrace steps or a passage along a façade or masonry boundary wall, provided the wall can accommodate the mounting box. IP65 indicates protection against dust and water jets; it does not permit immersion.

The supply is 220–240 V AC. As a Class I fitting, it requires a protective earth connection and installation by qualified personnel. Disconnect the power before cleaning. The manual recommends a damp cloth with mild detergent followed by drying with a soft cloth, while keeping water and detergent away from electrical components.
