The Gea Luce GFA1141N is a square aluminium ceiling light in satin white, with a black anti-glare grille in its underside. The grille is divided into nine cells in a 3 × 3 pattern, each holding its own reflector. The body tapers slightly upwards: 12 × 12 cm at the base, 11.5 × 11.5 cm at the top.
How much ceiling it takes
The body projects 9 cm below the ceiling it is fixed to and occupies a 12 × 12 cm square. In a low room, weigh those 9 cm against the headroom you have; the fitting does not disappear into the slab and stays visible as a solid block. It weighs 1.05 kg, so fixing it calls for no reinforcement of an ordinary ceiling.
How much light it gives and how it spreads it
The LED module draws 36 W and delivers 2850 lm — roughly three and a half old 60 W bulbs, which makes this a room's main light rather than a supplementary one. 4000 K is neutral white, closer to daylight than to a warm bulb; it suits places where work happens rather than places to unwind in. Colour rendering above Ra 80 is enough for a kitchen or an office.
The beam is 38° and points straight down, so the light lands as a defined pool: two metres below the fitting it is about 1.4 m across. A larger room is therefore planned from several units in a row or a grid rather than from one. The black cells of the grille shield the diodes from the side — looked at from an angle, no lit points are visible.
Supply and running
The fitting runs on 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz and is insulation class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor. The LED module and the driver are included — neither a lamp nor a transformer has to be bought — but the diodes cannot be swapped the way a bulb can; the stated life is 50,000 hours, about seventeen years at eight hours a day.
The fitting is not dimmable and works on/off only, so it should not be wired to a dimmer. The manufacturer intends it for dry indoor rooms.
