Geneva 1880CS is an outdoor wall light made of a flat wall plate with a rectangular block mounted on it. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in a corten-steel shade — a rusty brown. Light leaves through satin polycarbonate diffusers in the top and bottom edges of the block, so it draws two beams on the facade, upward and downward.
Size and wiring
According to the manufacturer's drawing the fitting is 31 cm tall, 21 cm wide and projects 9.5 cm from the wall. It is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 100 × 132 mm and weighs 1.71 kg. It is protection class I, so the supply cable needs an earth conductor.
The terminals take up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the supply can be looped on to the next wall light with up to 3 × 1.5 mm² — a row of fittings on one wall runs from a single line. The manufacturer also states how many one circuit breaker can handle: 157 on B 10 A, 254 on B 16 A, 264 on C 10 A and 340 on C 16 A.
Light and dimming
The fitting, with two built-in LED modules, draws 8.4 W and delivers 656 lm at 4000 K — neutral white light that renders plaster and stone faithfully. Half of the output goes upward (ULOR 50%), so this is a light for washing a wall, not for places where light must not reach the sky.
It dims with a standard phase dimmer — the manufacturer allows both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) control. The modules and driver are replaced by a professional service, for which the manufacturer offers kit ZS5108zx0014. The modules keep 90% of their output for more than 64,000 h.
Durability
IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK08 means resistance to 5 J impacts. The diffusers are UV-stabilised, which limits yellowing in sunlight. The manufacturer designed Geneva for lighting walls and facades.
