GES2247 Anthracite Gea Luce Outdoor Wall Sconce, IP65

Gea Luce GES2247 is an elongated outdoor wall light in anthracite, with a die-cast aluminium body and a transparent glass diffuser. Its rectangular housing contains an integrated LED module rated at 2 × 15 W. Light is emitted in two directions, so placement should consider the surrounding wall surface as well as the electrical connection.

Choose the light colour before final installation

The colour temperature can be set to 3000, 4000 or 5000 K before the fitting is finally installed. This is an installation setting, not a description of continuous adjustment during everyday use. Decide on the colour before completing the work, particularly when matching the fitting to other lights on the same facade.

The manufacturer specifies 1800, 2010 and 2000 lm respectively for these three settings. Output therefore does not increase steadily with colour temperature. The beam angle is 82°. The LED source is already part of the fitting, so there is no E14 or E27 bulb to select. GES2247 is non-dimmable and operates by switching its supply on and off.

Dimensions for an exterior wall

The technical drawing shows a length of 36.5 cm, a depth of 7 cm and a height of up to 5.2 cm. Its slim horizontal shape can be considered for a facade, beside a terrace or balcony, or above a doorway. Check the space around the housing and the path of an opening door before installation. IP65 supports the manufacturer's declared outdoor use, but does not allow the fitting to be submerged in water.

Installation and care

The supply is 220–240 V AC and the fitting is Class I. The instructions require installation by qualified personnel and disconnection of the mains before work. For cleaning, the manufacturer recommends a damp cloth with mild detergent; wires and electrical components must not be exposed to water or cleaning liquid.

The unornamented rectangular form suits modern and minimalist facades. The anthracite body remains visually distinct from the pale, elongated diffuser.
