Gunnislake 1 Light Wall Light - Brushed Brass Elstead

The Elstead Gunnislake wall light, code BATH-GUNNIS1-BB, is a single-source fitting in brushed brass. The body is steel, the shade is a cone of prismatic glass, and a round backplate fixes it to the wall. The box holds two caps: a short cap and a longer finial. The chosen cap sets the height, not the colour. This code is not the polished-chrome version.

Mounting and size

Elstead allows the shade to face up or down. With the short cap the height is 20 cm; with the long finial it is 26 cm. That is not a sliding arm: height changes only by fitting one of the two caps supplied. Width and diameter are 12.8 cm, and the projection from the wall is 18.1 cm. Beside a mirror or in a narrow passage, measure that 18.1 cm on the wall, because the fitting does not sit flat.

The fitting alone weighs 1.13 kg, and 1.26 kg packed. The carton is 32.4 × 19.7 × 19.1 cm. Supply is mains, 220–240 V, 50 Hz. Class I means the back box must provide an earth conductor. The wall light has no dimmer of its own.

Light

One replaceable LED G9 is included: 3 W, 3000 K and 300 lm of source flux. The colour is warm. Three hundred lumens light the zone by the wall; they do not replace the main bathroom light. The LED is not built in. The G9 socket takes a replacement of at most 3 W LED. This model is not specified for a higher-wattage lamp.

The fitting works with dimmable lamps, and the included G9 lamp is dimmable. The dimmer has to be in the installation, not in the wall light. The prismatic glass spreads the G9 point. The photographs show the fine grid of the shade and the satin sheen of the brass, not mirror chrome.

Bathroom and form

The official location is interior and bathroom, with IP44. It is not a garden fitting. IP44 alone does not name a zone number beside a bath or shower — that has to be checked against local rules. The form is classic: a round backplate, a conical shade and a decorative finial, not a plain modern body.

The general guarantee is 2 years. The box holds one fitting, both caps and the 3 W G9 lamp. This code does not include another shade or a second source.
