Ideal Lux GUN PL1 NERO is a black outdoor ceiling light with a cylindrical aluminium body and a glass cover across its lower opening. Variant 122687 measures 11 cm in diameter and 11.5 cm in height. It mounts directly to the ceiling rather than hanging from a cable.
A compact downlight for an overhead mounting point
The short cylinder has no projecting arms or broad decorative shade. Its downward-facing light makes it suitable for individual lighting points beneath a terrace roof, in a garden pavilion or above an entrance. When deciding how many fittings to use, consider the ceiling height and the area you need to illuminate together. The housing dimensions alone do not establish the width of the light beam.
The manufacturer lists this fitting for outdoor use with an IP55 rating. This provides protection against dust and water jets, not immersion. The black cylinder and restrained detailing suit modern and modernist architecture. A Pyrex glass diffuser closes the underside, leaving the circular light opening as the main feature when viewed from below.
Choose one GU10 bulb separately
The fitting takes one GU10 bulb with a maximum power of 28 W. A bulb is not included. Light colour, brightness and beam angle therefore depend on the source you choose, rather than the black finish of the housing. Check bulb compatibility with the fitting and stay within the stated power limit. The technical sheet identifies the fitting as non-dimmable; choosing a dimmable bulb does not by itself establish that the complete installation can be used with a dimmer.
Prepare the ceiling and electrical connection
GUN PL1 requires a 220–240 V AC supply and a protective earth connection for its Class I construction. The assembly instructions require installation by a qualified electrician. Fixings must suit the ceiling material, and power must be disconnected before installation or maintenance. Use the 11 × 11.5 cm measurements to check the space needed for the surface-mounted body before choosing its position.
