KAMELIA 1358 is a five-arm Jupiter ceiling light, 80 cm in diameter. Curved arms ending in decorative scrolls spring from a short stem at the canopy, and the frame is ecru with a wiped gold patina. Each arm carries a tapered shade of light-coloured fabric edged with a thin beige-grey trim.
Size and installation
The lamp is 80 cm across and 46 cm high, measured from the ceiling to the lower edge of the shades. It mounts directly to the ceiling with no adjustable drop, so with a 2.5 m ceiling the bottom of the shades sits about 2 m above the floor. The 80 cm diameter is the figure to compare with the width of the room: the lamp takes the centre of the ceiling and serves as the main light rather than an accent. It weighs 1.9 kg.
Light sources
The lamp has five E27 lampholders for replaceable light sources, and bulbs are not included. The manufacturer allows up to 15 W per holder; a limit that low rules out incandescent and halogen bulbs, so in practice you need five E27 LED bulbs. You choose the colour yourself: for living rooms and bedrooms, 2700–3000 K, a warm, slightly yellowish light, is the usual choice. With five 15 W bulbs the lamp's total consumption stays at no more than 75 W.
The fabric shades diffuse the light and direct it downwards beneath each arm. The fitting is rated IP20 and is for indoor use only.
Style and materials
The manufacturer classes the style as classic: curved arms with scrolls, a patinated frame and fabric shades echo the form of a traditional chandelier. The manufacturer lists steel, fabric and PVC as the materials. It suits a living room or bedroom.
