COSMO is a round LED profile in white lacquered aluminium, 25 mm in diameter, supplied here as a 1 m length. Inside runs a channel 14 mm wide and 14.8 mm deep that takes LED strip up to 12 mm wide. The manufacturer intends it for directional light: wardrobe interiors, work zones and display pieces.
How the beam direction is set
The profile turns on its own axis in the mounting bracket, in steps, after it has been fitted. The light can therefore be aimed at a worktop or shelf once the profile is up, without moving the bracket.
Combined with the COSMO M1 mounting profile, the beam direction changes without taking the end caps off. That matters on a profile closed at both ends inside a wardrobe, where opening them would mean removing the whole length.
A profile that can be a rail
The manufacturer allows this profile to be used as a clothes rail in a wardrobe. The round 25 mm section lets it do both jobs at once: it carries the hangers and lights what hangs from them. Solid and pass-through rosettes and the metal COSMO bracket are made for that build, all separate articles.
What has to be bought alongside
The profile is sold bare: no LED strip, no cover and no end caps. The cover decides the character of the light — a clear one leaves the individual LED points visible, while milky and opal ones blur them into one continuous line. End caps come in aluminium in black and silver and in ABS in white, so a white profile can be closed in its own colour.
The highest light-source power the profile will dissipate is 21 W at a profile temperature of 55 °C and 28 W at 65 °C. That is the ceiling for choosing a strip per metre, not power the profile itself draws. The manufacturer places the driver outside the profile.
Joining and working conditions
Lengths can be joined into a longer run — the manufacturer offers a straight connector and 90° and 120° angled ones, so the line can follow a wall and turn a corner. The profile also comes in 1, 2.02 and 3 m, and a custom size up to 6 m is made to order.
The profile is not sealable, so it stays at IP20 and suits dry interiors only. It is not rated to be driven over and is not built into floors.
