COSMO is a round aluminium LED profile with a Ø25 mm section and a length of 1 m, in an anodised silver finish. The channel for the strip runs inside the tube and is closed by a cover that presses in from above. The manufacturer intends the profile for the insides of wardrobes and shelves, over work surfaces and for lighting displays, and its round section means it can double as a clothes rail.
How it is mounted and which way it points
The profile is surface-mounted or suspended, on a screw, on a suspension wire or in a bracket. In the bracket the tube rotates about its own axis with stepped adjustment, so the direction of the light is set after fitting, without moving the strip.
The second way of adjusting it needs the COSMO M1 mounting profile, bought separately: with it the beam angle changes without removing the end caps. The light leaves perpendicular to the profile axis. Lengths join into longer runs with a straight connector or 90° and 120° angled ones, each a separate article.
Which strip fits inside
The channel is 14.0 mm wide and 14.8 mm deep, and the manufacturer allows a strip up to 12 mm wide — measure it including the adhesive layer, because that decides whether the strip enters the guide.
The second limit is heat. The data sheet gives the maximum dissipated power of the LED sources: 21.0 W at a profile temperature of 55°C and 28.0 W at 65°C. That figure, not the channel width, is what decides how powerful a strip may be run along the whole length. The driver goes outside the profile — there is no room for it inside the tube.
What is included and what has to be bought
You are buying the 1 m profile on its own. The LED strip, the cover, the end caps and the mounting brackets are separate articles from the same system. For COSMO the manufacturer offers BASIC covers in PMMA and polycarbonate — clear, frosted, milky and black — plus the Lens 15 and Lens 30 optics, and aluminium end caps with and without a cable hole.
The bare profile is not sealed and carries an IP20 rating, so it belongs in dry interiors only. Besides 1 m it comes in 2.02 m and 3 m, and to order up to 6 m — worth checking before you decide to join several one-metre pieces.
