Lumines COSMO Flange Rosette Ø 25 mm, Chrome, 14-5043-00 — Wall Bracket for the LED Profile / Rail

The flange rosette 14-5043-00 is a chrome wall bracket for the round Lumines COSMO LED profile of 25 mm diameter. A system component — bought separately from the profile and the other accessories.

What COSMO is for — and why this rosette matters

COSMO is a round LED profile of 25 mm diameter which Lumines describes as intended for lighting the insides of wardrobes, worktops and work zones — but it has a second use, and it is the one it is most often bought for: it can serve as a clothes rail.

That is exactly the idea this rosette delivers. Instead of a separate hanging rail and a separate LED strip above it, a dressing room gets one round profile that both lights the space and carries the clothes. Rosette 14-5043-00 fixes that profile to a wall or the side of a cabinet and carries its load.

The flange — how it differs from the other rosettes

Lumines offers five different rosettes in this family and the choice matters, because it decides how the profile terminates at the wall:

• 14-5043-00 — flange, chrome Ø 25 mm (this rosette): a flat flange concealing the junction of profile and wall;
• 14-5043-01 — low closed rosette: the profile ends inside the rosette;
• 14-5043-02 — low through rosette: the profile passes through and continues;
• 14-5047-01 — high closed rosette;
• 14-5047-02 — high through rosette.

Closed rosettes go at both ends of a single run; through rosettes where the profile crosses several bays and needs intermediate support. High versions stand the profile further off the wall, leaving room for hangers right at the end of the rail.

Chrome — what it goes with

This version is chrome-plated, so bright and silver. It is matched to a profile in the INOX or silver anodised finish (codes 10-0173-xx and 10-0174-xx) and to typical wardrobe hardware — chrome hangers, runners and handles.

If the profile is to be black anodised (10-0172-xx) or white painted (10-0171-xx), a chrome rosette will stand out against it; in that case check the other finish variants in the system.

The rest of the system — what else to buy

A rosette on its own lights nothing. A complete COSMO installation is assembled from separately ordered parts, and Lumines publishes a catalogue number for each:

• COSMO profile Ø 25 mm — 1.0 m / 2.02 m / 3.0 m, to order up to 6 m. White painted 10-0171-xx, black anodised 10-0172-xx, INOX 10-0173-xx, silver anodised 10-0174-xx, raw 10-0170-xx;
• Diffuser — BASIC in transparent, frosted, milky, frosted-milky or black, in PMMA or PC; also Fractal variants and the lensed Lens 15 and Lens 30;
• End caps — with hole, without hole, adjustable, in ALU and ABS (white, black, inox, silver, grey);
• Joiners — straight 14-3032-02, 90° angled 14-3030-01, 120° angled 14-3036-01;
• Base 14-6044-02, male joint 14-6044-03 and female 14-6044-04, knurled screw 14-6044-06, hinge 14-6045-00;
• COSMO M1 mounting profile (1 m: 10-0164-10) — lets the beam direction be adjusted without removing the end caps;
• Driver — Lumines states plainly that the driver location is outside the profile, so a place has to be planned for it.

Things to bear in mind

Work out how many rosettes you need. On a rail loaded with clothes it is not only about appearance but about support: longer runs need an intermediate rosette (the through version), or the profile will sag under the weight.

COSMO is an IP20 system — Lumines lists the profile as not sealable. It suits interiors: dressing rooms, wardrobes, worktops, display cases; not a bathroom splash zone and not outdoors.

The driver mounts outside the profile. In fitted wardrobe joinery a place has to be set aside for it in advance — usually in the upper section of the unit or in an adjacent service void.
