LED profile LUMINES type Z inox anodized 1 m

LUMINES Z is an aluminium profile for recessed LED-strip installation. This 1 m version, article 10-0103-10, has an anodized inox finish. Inox identifies the finish colour here: the profile itself is aluminium, not stainless steel. Its shallow section and projecting side edges distinguish it from a channel intended to sit entirely on the surface of a cabinet.

Plan the recess from the complete section

The overall width is 22 mm and the overall height is 7 mm. The manufacturer's drawing also gives a 16 mm lower section and a 13.4 mm internal dimension. These measurements describe different parts of the extrusion. Do not use the overall width, including the side edges, as an automatic specification for the width of the routed groove.

The side edges remain at the surface while the central section sits inside the prepared substrate. The manufacturer shows installation in a routed groove and lists double-sided tape as an assembly method. The shallow section matters where a deep recess is not possible. Compare the full drawing with the material thickness and plan the cable route before machining the furniture.

Choose the lighting components separately

The Z section accepts LED strips up to 12 mm wide. The manufacturer lists BASIC covers and Z end caps with a hole as compatible system components. They have separate article numbers; assembly illustrations explain the system rather than establish the contents of this profile offer. Select the cover for the intended optical result as well as the correct mechanical fit.

The power supply is positioned outside the profile. Brightness, light colour and controls depend on the selected LED strip and the rest of the installation, not on the aluminium extrusion.

Furniture and interior detailing

System documentation illustrates under-cabinet installation, wardrobe lighting, steps and plasterboard. This is a component for decorative furniture and interior lighting, not a complete stand-alone luminaire. Its straight form and narrow edges suit modern or minimalist fitted furniture where a projecting lamp housing is not wanted.
