Asker Pole Pro 5167AL is a NORLYS lighting pole shaped like an upside-down L: an 11 cm square aluminium upright ends in a horizontal head with a 39 cm reach, where the LED module shines downward behind a clear lens. The pole is 236 cm tall, stands on a square base plate and is powder coated light grey, RAL 9006.

Installation and size

It is a one-piece pole bolted down through its 24 cm base plate with four screws in ø12 mm holes on a 200 × 200 mm pattern. The concrete-in anchor (116) or ground anchor (117) is sold separately; choose one before preparing the foundation. The pole weighs 11 kg.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 4 mm² and the fitting can be looped through, so several poles can share one cable. The gland suits round-sheathed cable of 4–8, 8–12 or 10–13.6 mm diameter.

How it lights

The fitting draws 7.4 W and delivers 1206 lm, or 163 lm/W, roughly the brightness of an old 75–100 W bulb at a fraction of the power. 4000 K is neutral white that keeps paving and kerbs easy to read. CRI 70 is enough for finding your way, though plants and façades look less vivid than under Ra 80 or higher.

The Ledil T2-L lens gives an asymmetric IESNA Type III distribution: light is thrown forward and to the sides, so the pole stands at the edge of a path or driveway rather than in the middle. A ULOR of 0.83 % and a B1-U2-G1 BUG rating mean almost all the light goes down and none brightens the sky. The fitting is non-dimmable.

Build and servicing

The profile is extruded aluminium, and the clear PMMA lens is sealed with silicone. The whole fitting is IP65, dust-tight and protected against water jets, while the optical set of LED module and lens is IP67. IK06 means moderate impact resistance. Protection class I requires the earth conductor to be connected.

The Philips Fortimo LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service, using the manufacturer's repair kit ZS5167xx0010. LED lifetime is over 100,000 h (L90B10), driver lifetime 50,000 h, and the operating range runs from −20 to +45 °C.

The plain form suits modern, modernist and minimalist schemes. The manufacturer designed the pole for private grounds and parks; it fits gardens, driveways, parks, hotels and restaurants.
