Lillehammer DC1585CB is a NORLYS outdoor wall light shaped as a compact rectangular block in copper brown (RAL 8004), with a single pane on the side the light leaves from. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium and the cover is safety optical glass. The DC prefix marks the version that runs on 24 V DC.

What light this fitting gives

The 3.6 W LED module at 3000 K, a warm white, produces 532 lm, yet 16 lm leaves the luminaire: a 4° optic gathers the light into a very narrow beam of 377 cd aimed upwards. The result is a thin, sharp line on the wall, not light for an entrance or terrace: an accent light for facades and architectural details.

The beam goes upwards only: ULOR is 100 % and the BUG rating B0-U2-G0. There should therefore be a stretch of wall above the light for the line to draw on — under eaves it will hit the soffit. With L90 above 52,600 h, the module still gives at least 90 % of its flux after that time. The LED module is replaced by a professional service only.

24 V DC supply — what you need to buy

It is not connected to the 230 V mains: it needs an external, voltage-stabilised 24 V DC driver, not included, chosen and installed by a qualified person. Class III means it runs on safety extra-low voltage and needs no earth. The module is dimmable; control depends on the driver and installation design. The same body for 230 V is 1585CB, and with the beam pointing the other way it is DC1584.

Size, mounting and finish

The light is 18.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide and projects 11 cm from the wall; it weighs 1.57 kg. It is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², up to 2 × 1.5 mm² when looped, and the cable should be 7–10.5 mm across. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, IK08 means increased impact resistance, and the operating range is −30 to +50 °C.

Copper brown RAL 8004 is the colour of a powder coating on aluminium, not copper: a warm, reddish-brown shade. The same family also comes in black, white, graphite, light grey, beige grey, cement grey and a corten-steel colour.
