Lofoten 1940GB is an outdoor wall light shaped like a box lantern: a steel frame powder-coated in beige grey, clear safety-glass panes at the front and sides, and an exposed E27 lampholder inside. The design is classic yet simple – no ornament, just a slim frame around the glass.
Size and mounting
The lantern is 30 cm high and 19 cm wide, projects 11 cm from the wall and weighs 2.89 kg. It is screwed to the wall through three ø5 mm holes on an 80 × 105 mm pattern – the spacing you need to drill into the wall.
The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and let you loop the supply on to the next light with cable up to 2 × 1.5 mm², so several lanterns either side of a door or along a wall can share one circuit. Round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter enters through an EPDM gland, and the panes sit on a silicone gasket.
Bulb and light
The fitting has an E27 socket and takes a classic pear-shaped (type A) LED bulb of up to 11 W. The bulb is not included – you choose it and replace it yourself. Because the glass is clear, the bulb stays in view and the light leaves through the front and sides, so the shape, colour and brightness of the bulb you pick decide how the lantern looks and shines.
Where to fit it
Norlys designed it for terraces, entrances and garden pavilions. IP44 protects the inside against splashing water from any direction, so it can hang on an outside wall, and protection class II means no earth conductor is needed to connect it.
