Luces Exclusivas CHELVA LE62296 white recessed LED downlight 18 W 4000 K IP54

Luces Exclusivas CHELVA LE62296 is a white aluminium LED downlight designed to be recessed into a ceiling. Its circular trim surrounds a deeply set reflector with a fine faceted surface. Behind it sits a black, prominently ribbed heat sink. This is an inset fitting rather than a surface-mounted ceiling light with its whole body below the ceiling.

Allowing space behind the trim

The outside diameter is 14.5 cm and the overall height is 6.5 cm. The first measurement describes the visible ring; the second helps assess the space needed behind the ceiling surface. The outside diameter should not be used as the cut-out diameter. Side springs visible in the product photographs show how the fitting is retained in a prepared opening.

A white border and simple circular geometry suit modern, modernist and minimalist schemes. The reflector's texture supplies the visible detail instead of a hanging shade. When laying out several fittings, compare the ring size with the other elements sharing the ceiling.

Neutral white from an included LED source

The 18 W LED source is included, so there is no separate screw-base bulb to choose. The manufacturer lists 2003 lm for that source and a colour temperature of 4000 K. This neutral white is an option for kitchens, offices, entrance halls and corridors where distinctly warm lighting is not the aim.

CRI >90 describes colour rendering, while the 60° beam angle helps inform the spacing of light points. Light is directed downwards. The number of fittings should be matched to the area and ceiling height, not decided from a single source's wattage alone. The supply voltage is 230 V.

Recessed lighting under a roof

IP54 provides limited protection against dust and protection against splashing water. Consider CHELVA for a covered terrace, balcony or gazebo ceiling, subject to the conditions of the installation. It is not an immersion light. The manufacturer declares a 50,000-hour service life and a five-year warranty; the lifetime figure and warranty period are separate statements.
