Lucide ARTHUR E27 Table Lamp, Black with Copper-Coloured Socket, 25 cm – 08524/01/30

Lucide ARTHUR 08524/01/30 is a metal table lamp built around an open cube rather than an enclosed shade. Its black frame surrounds a single copper-coloured socket, leaving the bulb visible from every side. The bulb you choose therefore contributes to the appearance of the lamp as well as providing its light.

Allow for the square footprint

The lamp measures 25 cm in height, width and depth. Compare that square footprint with the available space on a sideboard, shelf or bedside table before choosing its position: a low lamp still needs 25 cm of surface in both directions. Its height is fixed, and there is no adjustable head for aiming the light at a particular area.

ARTHUR can provide supplementary lighting in a living room, bedroom or study. Lucide also identifies a dining table as a possible location. In an office, it is an additional light rather than an adjustable task lamp. With no shade hiding the bulb, consider whether the light source will be directly in your line of sight when you sit nearby.

Choose and buy the bulb separately

There is one E27 socket, rated for a bulb of up to 60 W. No bulb is supplied, and the manufacturer confirms compatibility with a suitable LED light source. The decorative globe bulb shown in the photographs illustrates the arrangement; it is not evidence that a bulb comes in the box.

Your bulb determines the colour and amount of light. Check its colour temperature, lumen output and physical dimensions rather than treating the 60 W maximum as a brightness specification. The fixture is not dimmable. Light spreads around the lamp, with no mechanism for changing its direction.

Cord control and black-and-copper detailing

A 150 cm cord with a plug connects the lamp to the mains, and the on/off switch is on the cord. This gives you a definite cable reach to consider when planning the distance to a socket; ARTHUR is not battery powered. The matt black structure, exposed socket and copper-coloured accent support a vintage or industrial setting. Its restrained geometry can also sit alongside plain contemporary furniture.

The lamp is intended for indoor use. Disconnect it from the power supply and allow the bulb to cool before replacement, following the manufacturer's instructions.
