Lucide EVIN 05551/01/61 is a table lamp with a spherical opal-glass shade and a travertine base that tapers towards the top. Its white globe sits above taupe-coloured stone. The visible texture of the base remains part of the design when the lamp is switched off.
Allow room around the glass globe
The lamp stands 45.5 cm high and measures 20 cm in both width and depth. The base itself is 11 cm in diameter and 25.5 cm high. For a shelf, check more than the space beneath the foot: the glass shade also needs clearance at its sides and above it. The overall height is fixed, so the lamp cannot be shortened to fit beneath a low shelf.
EVIN can provide supplementary light on a living-room sideboard, a bedside table or a hallway console. The manufacturer also identifies a bookshelf as a possible position. In an office or study it serves as a diffuse additional light rather than a directed desk lamp. There is no adjustable arm or directional shade for aiming a narrow beam at your work.
Choose one E27 bulb separately
The single E27 socket accepts a bulb rated at no more than 25 W. A bulb is not included. A suitable LED bulb can be selected separately, with its colour temperature and light output chosen for the intended position. The opal glass spreads light around the lamp instead of concentrating it into a spotlight.
An on/off switch sits on the power cord. The cord with plug is 180 cm long, so compare that length with the route to the socket and keep the switch within reach. The fixture is not dimmable; choosing a bulb does not give it a built-in brightness control.
Stone and glass in a Japandi composition
Lucide classifies EVIN as Japandi. Its simple globe and stone base also suit minimalist and contemporary arrangements without ornamental arms or elaborate metalwork. This is an indoor lamp, not a garden fitting or a lamp intended for bathroom use.
