The Mantra K5 7989 is a black rechargeable table lamp with a clear outer shade surrounding a pale inner diffuser. A slender upright joins the shade to a circular base, where the touch control is located. Mantra identifies the material as PC, or polycarbonate, rather than aluminium.
Check the shade as well as the base
The lamp stands 35 cm high. Its shade is 13.4 cm across and its base measures 12 cm in diameter, so allow for the wider upper part when comparing the available space between objects on a table. The height is fixed, not adjustable. Net weight is 0.5 kg.
This is a portable lamp for a tabletop, not a bollard to install beside a path. Its narrow stem, plain black finish and transparent shade suit modern and minimalist settings. Battery operation allows the light to be moved without routing a power cable to its position while it is in use.
Warm LED light with control at the base
The integrated 2 W LED produces warm-white light at 3000 K. Mantra specifies 230 lm: consider it a local supplementary light on a table, rather than a replacement for lighting an entire area. The LED is non-replaceable, so this version does not require a separately selected bulb.
A short touch switches the lamp on or off. Holding the control adjusts brightness continuously; the manual illustrates a 5–100% range. Adjustment is made directly on the base, without a separate wall dimmer.
Charging before outdoor use
The instructions specify USB-C input at DC 5 V/1 A, a charging time of 4–6 hours and an operating time of 5–12 hours. They do not promise one runtime for every brightness setting. The red indicator shows charging, while green indicates a full battery.
Use a 5 V charging supply, not an output of 7, 9 or 12 V. After charging, unplug the cable and close the silicone port cover. The manufacturer's outdoor designation and IP54 rating support use on a terrace, balcony or gazebo table. IP54 does not mean the lamp can be submerged.
