K4 is a cordless outdoor table lamp: a white aluminium stem 1 cm across, a round foot and a conical acrylic shade. There is no mains lead — the lamp runs on a built-in battery, and the 1.5 m cable is for charging only.
How long one charge lasts
The maker quotes 9 hours of light and 7 hours of charging. One charge therefore covers a whole evening at the table, and the charging happens during the day rather than between two courses.
Charging runs on 5 V DC at 1 A, and the cable is black and 1.5 m long. The lamp is protection class III, so it works on safety extra-low voltage — no earthed socket is needed on the terrace for it.
How much light it gives and how it is set
The LED gives 180 lm drawing 2 W — that is atmosphere light on a tabletop, on the scale where an old 60 W bulb gave around 800 lm. The 3000 K colour is warm and slightly yellow, and the colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough at a table.
Brightness is set by touch: a touch pad sits on the top edge of the shade and dims the light steplessly, with no dimmer in the wiring. The LED is built in permanently and no replacement is intended — the maker quotes 30,000 hours and 30,000 switching cycles.
Size and where it goes
The lamp stands 32.5 cm tall, and the foot and the lower edge of the shade both measure 10.8 cm across — it takes up about as much of a tabletop as a glass and reaches roughly the height of a wine bottle. It weighs 1.12 kg, enough that a draught will not tip it over.
An IP54 rating means dust protection and protection against splashing water from any direction, so the lamp can stay on a terrace or balcony table through rain. The body is aluminium finished in white RAL 9010; the same lamp is also made in black and in a corten shade.
