Mantra NISEKO II LED ring pendant light 65 cm wood effect with remote 8575

NISEKO II 8575 is a pendant light shaped as a flat ring 65 cm across, finished in a light wood-effect decor. Light leaves through an acrylic diffuser on the underside of the ring, and the whole fitting hangs on three thin cables below a round white ceiling canopy. The LED module is built in and a remote control is included, so there are no bulbs to buy.

Size and suspension

The ring is 65 cm in diameter and only 6 cm tall, so from the side it reads as a slim hoop rather than a bulky shade. The drop is adjusted on the cables, and the overall height from the ceiling reaches a maximum of 200 cm. Over a table, a pendant is usually hung so that its lower edge sits 70–80 cm above the tabletop; compare the 65 cm diameter with the width of your own table.

The canopy is 22.5 cm across and fixes to the ceiling with three screws and wall plugs. The light weighs 2.7 kg net. It is a Class I fitting, so an earth conductor is needed at the connection point.

How much light and what kind

The 60 W LED module delivers 5000 lm out of the fitting, enough for main lighting rather than mood light alone. The manufacturer's light distribution curve shows all of the light going downwards in a wide beam of about 128°, with nothing thrown up onto the ceiling.

Colour temperature is changed with the remote between 2700 and 5000 K, from warm, yellowish evening light to cool white for working at the table, and the brightness is dimmable. The remote works by radio on 2.4 GHz, and the manufacturer also provides control from the Mantra app over Bluetooth.

The manufacturer states a module life of 30,000 hours and 30,000 switching cycles. The LED module and driver can be replaced by a professional, so worn-out LEDs do not mean replacing the whole light.

Which interiors it suits

The form is modern and minimalist: a smooth, unornamented ring, thin cables and a wood decor that softens the plain geometry. It works over a dining table and as the main light in a living room, and the adjustable drop also lets it hang in a stairwell. The NISEKO II series also includes rings in other diameters and versions in white, black and gold.
