Mantra SAL 6710 ceiling spotlight bar, 4 × GU10, matt black

Mantra SAL 6710 is a matt-black ceiling spotlight bar with four cylindrical heads arranged along a narrow, straight canopy. Its aluminium and iron construction has a distinctly technical appearance. Four separate GU10 sockets provide individual light points rather than sitting behind one shared shade.

Allow for the heads, not just the canopy

The canopy measures 65 cm long and 7.5 cm wide. The manufacturer's drawing shows an overall outline of 70.45 × 9.69 cm including the projecting heads, with a height of approximately 12.8 cm. Use the overall dimensions when checking clearance beside other ceiling fittings. Each cylindrical head is 6 cm in diameter and 9 cm long, so the visible lighting elements extend beyond the mounting bar.

This is a surface-mounted ceiling fitting, with no hanging drop or height adjustment. The instructions show the mounting strip fixed to the ceiling and a protective-earth connection, consistent with its Class I construction. The shallow profile does not by itself establish compatibility with every stretch-ceiling system.

Choose four LED bulbs separately

Bulbs are not included. The fitting takes four GU10 LED sources, each rated at no more than 10 W. That figure is a bulb-selection limit, not a brightness specification for the complete bar. Colour temperature, light output and beam angle depend on the bulbs selected. Decide whether you want to pick out individual surfaces or cover broader areas before choosing them. Mantra lists the fitting as non-dimmable; replacing the bulbs does not independently establish dimmer compatibility.

Directional lighting with a restrained shape

The jointed heads allow different aiming directions. Four light points can be incorporated into a lighting plan for a living room, kitchen, dining area, hallway or dressing room. Whether one bar can illuminate the whole space depends on the sources and the arrangement of fittings. The straight black canopy and repeated cylindrical shapes suit modern and minimalist interiors, without changing their geometric character when a warmer or cooler bulb is selected.
