TAOS 7107 is a small spot that stands on the ground: an 18 cm cone of smooth cement, cut at an angle across the top, with a single GU10 holder set inside. Mantra files it in its own range as a foco de suelo — a floor luminaire for the garden, not a street light and not a recessed fitting.
Cement, not plastic imitating stone
The body is cast in smooth cement in the gris piedra stone-grey shade (RAL 7038). That has two practical consequences. First, the fitting weighs 2.27 kg — enough not to topple when the bed is watered or when the wind picks up, and enough to need no anchoring. Second, cement neither fades nor chalks the way painted plastic does, so after several seasons it still looks the same, and natural soiling and patina read as part of the material rather than as damage.
An angled cut instead of an adjustable head
There is no joint and no aiming mechanism — the direction of the light is set by the angled cut across the top edge. The beam leaves at a slant, so the spot is placed at the foot of whatever it is meant to light: a shrub, a tree trunk, a stretch of wall, a fence post. Turning the whole body is enough to change direction, and the deeply recessed holder with its black inner ring keeps the source out of sight from the side.
IP65 and 230 V supply
IP65 means full dust protection and resistance to water jets — the fitting can stand where rain and sprinklers reach it. Supply is 100–240 V mains and the black connecting cable is 1 m long. The luminaire is protection class I, so it needs a connection with an earth conductor.
You choose the lamp
No bulb is included — the GU10 holder takes any standard LED lamp of that type, which lets you match colour and beam angle to the task: a narrow beam to graze a trunk, a wider one for a shrub or a wall. The fitting is not dimmable.
