MARGOT I is an outdoor wall light shaped like a rectangular lantern. Clear glass panes fill the graphite lacquered aluminium frame, and inside it the lampholder stands upright and in plain view. The body measures 25 cm high and 12.5 cm wide.
How much wall it takes and how it is fixed
The fitting projects 12.5 cm from the wall β compare that figure with the width of the passage where it is going, because beside a front door or above a narrow path those centimetres are noticeable. At 25 cm tall and 1.11 kg, it is a fitting for an ordinary facade wall, with no need to reinforce the substrate.
Mounting is direct: the back plate is screwed to the wall and the supply cable is led in through the opening in that plate. The box holds the luminaire, a user manual, an installation manual and a mounting kit, so no fixings have to be bought separately. The fitting is protection class I, which means a protective earth conductor has to be connected β the installation is an electrician's job.
What bulb it takes
Inside there is a single E14 lampholder, and the manufacturer permits LED sources only, up to 10 W; halogen and incandescent bulbs must not be used here. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself, and the decorative lamp in the photographs belongs to the styling, not to the delivery.
The panes are clear and the bulb itself is visible through them from outside, so its shape and light colour form part of how the fitting looks after dark.
Where it may hang
IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the fitting can work on an unsheltered wall: on a facade, by an entrance, on a terrace and on a balcony. Supply is 220β230 V at 50/60 Hz, that is the ordinary domestic mains with no driver in between.
