Max Light Chicago T0028 Table Lamp, White, E27, 46 cm

The Max Light Chicago T0028 is a classic table lamp: a white metal base with a plain stem and a tapered fabric shade narrowing from 30 to 26 cm in diameter. It stands 46 cm tall on a 32 × 30 cm footprint.

The shade shape matters

The shade is not a cylinder — it tapers, so the light spreads wider at the bottom than at the top. In practice that means a stronger pool of light on the surface below and only a gentle wash on the ceiling. The fabric diffuses the light, so the lamp casts no hard shadows and suits reading and desk work.

A family, not a single model

Chicago is a whole series: a floor lamp, a desk lamp, a wall light and a wall light with an extra light point on a movable arm. The shade comes in white and black, the base in white, black and chrome. That lets several fittings from the same family be combined in one interior — the manufacturer designed it with hotel interiors in mind, where a repeatable finish matters.

Light source

The fitting takes a single E27 bulb of up to 100 W on a 230 V supply. That is a high limit for a table lamp — it leaves plenty of choice, but bear in mind that a powerful incandescent bulb inside a closed shade runs hot; with LEDs the problem does not arise. No bulb is included.

Operating conditions

The construction is metal, the shade textile. An IP20 rating restricts the lamp to dry indoor rooms — not a bathroom, not a terrace.
